Navi Cosplay - Legend of Zelda 3

This was a very fun costume to conceptualize. I talked with my friend, who is a bigger geek than me about the Legend of Zelda about how Navi should look. With how Navi acts in the game I though a little bit of stylized armor would suit her. I went with using the Kokiri symbols throughout the costume since she is from the Korkiri Forest/Deku tree. With her glow I thought of insects that had a natural glow and that made me think of fireflies, which have their bioluminescence in their abdomen. So with Navi I added small strings of LED lights into the bustle of the dress so that the light source would be in the same sort of area. I used lots of reflective fabric and netting. Also lots of pearlized paint and prism effect top coat paint to seal the armor pieces. I was practically glowing! The wings are designed and made by Fancy Fairy Wings. I love them!

• The Armor/headpiece is made of Worbla and painted - all done by me
• Fabrics where a light blue/grey dupioni silk, glitter netting and spider web netting in shades of whites and blues
• Sandals where purchased
• I used rare earth magnets to adhere the armor to the leg and arm wraps
